বাংলাদেশে সামরিক আইন কি অত্যাসন্ন? বিষয়টি নিয়ে একজন পর্যবেক্ষকের লেখার কিছু প্রশ্ন তুলে দেওয়া হয়েছে:
(১) দুর্নীতিপরায়ণদের ১০০ জনের তালিকার মধ্যে সামরিক বাহিনীর কোন সদস্যের নাম নেই।
(২) সকল ধরণের রাজনৈতিক কর্মসূচীর নিষিদ্ধ ঘোষণা। এমনকি ঘরোয়া রাজনীতির উপরও নিষেধাজ্ঞা।
(৩) ব্রিগেডিয়ার সাখাওয়াত হোসেনের বিরুদ্ধেও দুর্নীতির সুনির্দিস্ট অভিযোগ ছিল। তাকে নির্বাচন কমিশনে নিয়োগ দান।
(৪) ডিটেনশনগুলো জামিন অযোগ্য বলে ঘোষণা দেওয়া।
(৫) নির্বাচন কমিশনের কাজে কোন অগ্রগতি না হওয়া।
(৬) দুর্নীতির উচ্চ পর্যায়ের কমিটি সম্পূর্ণভাবে সামরিক বাহিনীর নিয়ন্ত্রনে রাখা।
(৭) জাতীয় নিরাপত্তা কাউন্সিল গঠন-জাতীয় নিরাপত্তা সংক্রান্ত কোন সংকট কি দেখা দিয়েছে? তারপরেও এর জন্য তোড়জোড় সৃস্টি করার কারণ কি?
দুর্নীতিবাজদের বিরুদ্ধে যেসব কর্মসূচী গ্রহণ করা হচ্ছে তা জনগণ আন্তরিকভাবে সমর্থন দিচ্ছে। কিন্তু প্রত্যক্ষ বা পরোক্ষভাবে রাস্ট্রক্ষমতা সামরিক বাহিনীর তত্ত্বাবধানে নেওয়া কোন শুভ লক্ষণ নয়। সময়মতো জাগ্রত জনতা সঠিক সিদ্ধান্ত নিতে ভুল করবে না।

the army should take power. when something goes extreme bad, only a more bad can tackle it. besides, the present govt plus the bd defense are doing great!
হ্যাঁ, যদিও অপ্রত্যাশিত, আমাদের দুর্বল শাসন কাঠামোয় খুব সম্ভব একটা ভবিষ্যৎ হতেও পারে ।
জনমানুষের নীরব সমর্থন এবং রাজনীতিবিদদের কাছ থেকে ভবিষ্যৎ প্রতিশোধের ভয় জেনারেলদের এরকম সিদ্ধান্ত নিতে বাধ্য করতেই পারে।
আর যদি তা ঘটেই, আমাদের কিছুই করার নেই ।
এটাই বাস্তবতা ।
খানিকটা রেখে ঢেকে হচ্ছে ঠিক, কিন্তু এখনো তো আসলে সামরিক শাসনই চলছে!
এই আড়ালটুকু আন্তর্জাতিক চাপের কথা বিবেচনা করে ওরা সরাবে না বলেই মনে করি।
সামরিক শাসন কখনোই সমর্থন করি না!
I am a Awami League councillor from Northern Bangladesh. Our leader Sheikh Hasina has been interned by the undemocratic unconstitutional military backed opportunist bureaucrat dominated government which is heavily dominated by beneficiaries of former BNP-Jamaat-e-Islami government of Khaleda Zia and war criminals Azam-Nizami killers.
We can clearly see that in the name of sham reforms the Awami League has been targetted by the BNP-Jamaat elements within the army to allow BNP and Jamaat reorganize and restrengthen their position to catch AWL off guard in political manouvering under cover of the partial, heavily tilted on BNP-Jamaat's side, caretaker government.
As a consequence the RATS have been picked up the defence intelligence to implement the evil design of the BNP-Jamaat conspirators.
We as councillors demand an open forum to discuss about reforms. Just wait and see how the treacherous traitors 'RATS' and their DFI agents will be pelted by by the village councillors and AWL workers at the grass roots level once we gather in Dhaka for our Grand Conference.
That day is not far when the RATS and their mentors will be tried for indulging in rampant corruption and accumulation of ill-gotten wealth. It is the RATS who have smeared AL's image and are now acting on instructions from the cantonment to safeguard their amassed stolen wealth.
We demand that the army immediately lifts the emergency and the AWL and BNP is allowed to talk about reforms in public without fear or coercion.
AWL is a victim of pro-Pakistani fundamentalist elements within the army who are acting on guidance by the infamous and discredited Jamaat-e-Islami.
