Debapriya appointed ambassador

Debapryia Bhaatacharya has been rewarded with a prestigious diplomatic position in Geneva. Currently, he's the Executive Director of the Bangladeshi think tank Center for the Policy Dialogue who led the so-called civil society for a national consensus government in Bangladesh. BDNews24 reports,

Dhaka, Sept 20 (bdnews24.com) -- The government has appointed Dr Debapriya Bhattacharya as Bangladesh's ambassador and permanent representative to the UN Offices in Geneva.

The foreign ministry released a statement Thursday on the appointment of Debapriya, who is currently working for a nongovernmental think-tank, Centre for Policy Dialogue, as executive director.
