Rallying Support for Army Backed CTG

There is a new web based initiative "Stand for Bangladesh" launched to rally support for the Army backed caretaker government in Bangladesh. Its organizing committee includes Nayemul Chowdhury, USA, Mir Ali, USA, Riazul Kabir, USA, and Ashique-Uz-Zaman, Bangladesh. When US Envoy in Bangladesh is stressing on democracy as she refers "the people of Bangladesh deserve nothing less than democracy", it implies that the army backed CTG urgently needs to win the hearts and minds of US public officials. This site has provided e-mail addresses for the elected officials as it encourages readers to begin e-mail campaigns to the White House, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senator Clinton, and Congressman Joseph Crowly. The letter format is as follow:
Dear [Name]
As a Bangladeshi-American, I like to share my opinion with you regarding the current administration of Bangladesh. To the best of my knowledge, they are doing excellent job! They are working hard to bring the real democracy in Bangladesh. Their recent steps on "reforming Election commission", "anti-corruption drive" and "fighting terrorism" highly admirable. Please note that I have my full support on Bangladesh's current administration and I request you to stand by them as well.
Thank you for your kind attention!
Sincerely,
[Your name]
It appears that suddenly the USA has become the nerve center of the very existence of the army backed caretaker government!! This site is sill new and under construction, but this technique is an old one that was used in the past. If the caretaker government is really committed to democracy and election, they don't have to look for international advocacy and politicking for legitimacy. In addition, this site sketches General Moeen as the Last Mohican!!!

Has the CTG embarked to rewrite its mandate? Is it desperate for international recognition? If so, why? Why are we hearing more about national defence council than national election? We've had more than enough under military take overs since this country has born. We need not to play the same drama once again. So, if you are asking for democracy in Bangladesh, it's most likely that you're allied with the corrupt criminals. As this new site says:
"...lately, those corrupt people who went underground after the anti-corruption drive have been trying to unite to make the current administration embarrass and unsuccessful. They are lobbying to US, England and EU using the black money that they embezzled. If we don't raise our voices to protect the current administration then we would go back to the same place where we were prior to 1/11. Keep in mind, the current administration is our last resource to rebuild the country. We need to help them in every way we can for the sake of our future generation. Please let President Bush and our congressmen know your support for current interim government by writing emails directly to them. Don't think someone else would write. Please do your part today".
Isn't this an interesting development for the political observers in Bangladesh? How may times are we going to be deceived for "real democracy"? Yes, CTG is "doing an excellent job" as it's patronizing its new partners like Qurieshi and Manan Bhuiya to revive the so called stale nationalists. Remember, rallying support for the current Army backed Caretaker Government (CTG) in Bangladesh is a non political social action!!!

I welcome the CTG and wish all the best for their efforts to clear all these criminals out of govt.

Nobody is above law. It does not matter who relates to who, but justice to follow its own course of action. We had enough of these biased and multi-standard politicians. None, Hasina or Khaleda, own the country so that they can liberty to do whatever they want.

We do not have to stick on to some leadership regardless of their achievements, we have a choice. Time to time, we want new leadership with new vision and agenda. Thats what is practiced in civil world like USA, UK and others.

Transparency International is a bull shit organization and their original agenda is to deprive developing countries. We don't need any foreign organization to invade our interests and to rule our country's affairs.

yes, army backed CTG has lost its objectivity when it left the mother of all corruption Madam Zia in the Cantonment and started lining up the new hooligans for next election. this is an army backed CTG who has already abandoned its mandate for free and fair election. Yes, Said Iskandor has been spared, Jamaatis are spared, Mannan bhuiya is spared, as they need them for the next go round. People have already been fooled by the army and it does not deserve to be fooled again. thanks!!
